Numerical Simulation of Melted Glass Flow Structures inside a Glass Furnace with Different Heat Release Profiles from Combustion

چکیده

A glass production furnace requires a considerable amount of energy to allow the correct melting process. In this work, CFD model has been developed in order simulate convective flow movements within molten bath furnace. heat flux profile assigned free surface combustion process, and modelled with thermophysical properties variable temperature based on its chemical composition. The validated by comparing structure reference work. Subsequently, analysis carried out using different shapes for varying main parameters. above release profiles are representative settings operating points can be useful understand effects flames (i.e., from fuels also) structure. It demonstrated that only thermal distribution maximum generates two macro-cells: first is necessary melting, second homogenization. also observed length these vortices related flame length. However, portion exits directly throat (furnace exit port) without entering into cell; low-quality product will generated case.
